Holiday Hot Tips

Feeling Good while you Enjoy your Holiday Fun:

1. Prioritize Satisfaction Over Perfection

Instead of aiming for “perfect” choices, focus on what makes you feel good. Savor your favorite holiday foods mindfully and enjoy the experience without guilt. - Feeling guilty or worrying about what you eat is way worse than just eating the thing and moving on.

2. Balance Your Plate :)

Start meals with nutrient-dense foods like vegetables & protein, then add fun foods/dessert. This creates balance without any deprivation.

** Did you know that vegetables contain fiber? Fiber is going to help you maintain balanced blood sugar levels. Blood sugar levels staying balanced is going to help you stay feeling good.

3. Hydrate your Body

Start the day with 30 ounces of water & some added salt. Then move to a fun festive coffee drink, mocktail or cocktail!

4. Keep Moving in Ways You Love

Instead of punishing workouts, enjoy movement that feels good — a winter walk or pilates by the fireplace.

5. Focus on Connection

Holidays are about more than food. Shift focus to spending quality time with loved ones, creating memories, and engaging in traditions that bring you joy.

6. Listen to Your Body

Eat when you’re hungry and pause when you feel satisfied. Trust your body to guide you.

**If you are feeling out of control, walk away and take 10 deep breaths.

7. Give Yourself Grace, Rest & Enjoy!

Holidays are NOT about being “on track” or “off track.” Enjoy what feels right in the moment, and remind yourself that one meal or one day (or one week) doesn’t define your overall journey.

8. Bring it!! (My Personal Favorite)

Try baking healthier treats or dishes that you know are going to help you feel good at your Holiday Functions. Recipes on my blog and insta!
