Blueberry Breakfast Patty

I love to make these for my week, high in protein and easy to bring with me on the go. When I have to leave the house before 7am, I normally will warm up a cup of grass fed Kettle & Fire to sip on while I train my first client. Then around 8:30 I will eat my first meal, I will have 2 of these sausages and a side of protein chia pudding/yogurt and berries.

Optimally fueling my body and supporting my hormones has changed my life! Also these sausages are kid approved. Try them :)

Blueberry Turkey Patties:

1 pound organic (93% lean) ground turkey

1 garlic clove, finely minced

1 tablespoon pure maple syrup (optional)

1 tablespoon fresh chopped sage (about 3 medium sage leaves)

1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

1/4 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

3/4 teaspoon Celtic salt

1/3 cup fresh or frozen wild blueberries

1 teaspoon grass fed butter (for cooking)

1.  Place all ingredients besides the blueberries and butter in a large bowl and use your hands to mix.

2. Add in blueberries and stir them into the meat.

3. Form into even sized patties, about 1/3 inch thick.

4. Add the butter to your skillet and place over medium heat.

5. Add turkey patties and cook for about 5 minutes then flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes or until fully cooked. (I like mine golden brown)

6. Keep them in an air tight container for your busy mornings!

Hot Tip: Eat 2-3 of them in the morning with fresh berries or add another form of protein (eggs, chia pudding) depending on your personal goals.
