GF Brown Butter chocolate chip cookies

Dry Ingredients:

1 cup Organic Brown Rice Flour (Gluten free flour of choice)

1 + 1/4 cup Organic Rolled Oats (GF)

1 tsp. Sea Salt

1/2 tsp. Baking Soda

1 cup dark chocolate chips

Wet Ingredients:

1 + 1/2 cup stick of butter (browned - directions below)

1 cup brown coconut sugar or brown sugar

1 Pasture Raised Egg (at room temperature)

2 tsp. Vanilla Extract

1 tbsp. Blackstrap molasses (unsweetened)

1/4 cup Raspberries *optional

How to Make the Best Cookies in the World:

  1. Make the browned butter: 1. Cut up your measured grass fed butter & add it to a sauce pan over medium heat. 2. Once it begins to crackle and foam turn your heat down to low. 3. Continue to stir it on low for 3-5 minutes (be careful not to burn it.) 4. Once it reaches the perfect gold color with some brown specs transfer to a bowl & let cool for 12-15 minutes.

  2. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

  3. Add all of your dry ingredients to a bowl and set to the side.

  4. Mix all of your wet ingredients in a separate bowl (make sure you have waited for your butter to cool).

  5. Combine your wet and dry ingredients, use a mixer if you choose!

  6. Roll into balls and place on a cookie sheet (use parchment paper if you wish - I use the brand @ifyoucare).

  7. Place into the oven for 8 minutes if you like a softer cookie or 10 minutes if you prefer a crunchier cookie!

  8. When your timer goes off, sprinkle with more sea salt. Let cool and enjoy!
