5 Foods to eat that support your skin & Gut Health

5 foods I am eating this week to feed my gut microbiome & help my skin glow

#1 Thyme

Adds so much flavor! Is a powerful source of antioxidants, mood booster & can promote fungal balance.

**I add this into my grass fed ground beef**

#2 Radishes // Salad Turnips

The juice/water found in radishes contain certain compounds that help in liver detoxification and recovery from damage. The chemical compounds, glucosinolate and isothiocyanate, that are in radishes can help to regulate blood sugar levels.

** I chop this up and add it into my daily vegetable mix**

#3 Radicchio

Full of antioxidants (rich in color aka lots of phytonutrients), neutralizes free radicals from the environment, promotes digestion and can help regulate blood sugar levels.

**I am going to make a salad with this and arugula**

#4 Cilantro

Vitamins A and E present in Cilantro act as antioxidants that scavenge the free radicals that damage the skin. Has an antimicrobial effect, that can help with candida overgrowth (bacteria). Can help you naturally detox, because it is a bitter herb so it is supporting your liver function!

** I add this to everything. When I was really trying to clear my skin I would eat 1/4 a cup every single morning lol**

#5 Celery

High in phytonutrient antioxidants known for their anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, and antibacterial properties!! Contains quercetin and apigenin which are anti-inflammatory herbs and spices. Research has found that these flavonoids can enhance digestion!

** I finely chop celery and add it into my daily vegetable mix or into ground beef**
